Recently i was driving my 2015 jeep wrangler jk unlimited through a parking lot on a 95 degree day and after leaving a stop sign a check engine light flashed on later i would learn it was a p0480 cooling fan relay 1 control circuit and shortly thereafter my jeep overheated. 2003 jeep wrangler tj 2 4l my coolant fan won t come on. What followed was a multi day google searching and diagnostic session which made me realize there is a lack of. Should the resistor entirely fail then no air will flow through the jeep s vents at all.

Connect the other end of the jumper wire to the positive battery terminal. Attach another jumper wire to the other terminal connecting it to the negative battery terminal. However the fan in front of the radiator did not come on. It is the last line of defense between you and an overheating engine.

The main fan was working i never saw it go off even though i was just idling from a cold start in the driveway. Should the blower motor seem fine and pressure is not an issue but the fan only works on some speeds then it could indicate a problem with the resistor.
