Install new cabinet door hinges.
Start by placing the hinges on the cabinet where you plan to install them wrapped around the outer edge of the cabinet wall in the open position.
Align the top and bottom hinges using a tape measure.
Slide the soft close hinge into the mounting plate and then push it into the plate to clip it into place.
With a large cabinet door it may be useful to have a second person to help hold the door and guide it into place.
Set a combination square at the 2 inch mark.
Use a finish nail or an awl to mark the screw locations.
Place a hinge temporarily on the front or back of the door depending on the type of hinge.
Tap in the hinges and screw them to the door with the provided screws and then set the door in place on the front of the cabinet level it and mark the holes for the hinge screws.
To install the door you just snap the hinge cups onto the hinge plates.
Hold the cabinet door with one hand and one of the soft close hinges with the other hand.
The hinge plates mount on the cabinet with euro screws.
The hinges should sit flush against the outside and inside of the cabinet.
Position the new hinges an equal distance from the top and bottom of the door.
The hinge cups mount on the door with 6 x 5 8 flat head screws.
If you re installing the hinges on the back of the door have the 2 sides of the hinges laying on top of each other instead.
Uneven or insufficient gap between adjacent doors or door doesn t align with cabinet frame.
A 2 phillips head can strip the hinge s screws problem.
Align the hinge with the edge of the cabinet door.
